“The Office” review

If dry, subtle, and at times downright awkward suits your personality, then ‘”The office” is the show for you. It is impossible not to fall in love with the uncomfortable relationships or laugh at the zany mischief that takes place within the walls of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, Inc. This mockumentary story was originally produced in the UK with Ricky Gervais creating, writing, and directing it. It was adopted by NBC with a different cast and crew but the same names and settings. The tumultuous dynamic between Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) involves non-stop pranking on Jim’s part and taking everything all too serious by Dwight, along with the unwavering loyalty that Dwight has for Michael Scott (Steve Carell) cannot top the overriding love story between Jim and Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer). At first their relationship status is questionable, but just like in any other sitcom cliché love story, it works out and ends up in marriage. I enjoy the dry humor in the show because it coincides with my sense of humor and you can’t go wrong the facial expressions from Jim. You can watch all 9 seasons on Netflix. I give “The Office” 9 out of 10 stars.
