The team finished fourth at the Conference meet with three girls earning All-Conference status, Kelli Tosic, Cindy Alcala, and Gabby Conceicao.
“I really wanted to get All-Conference in high school. I ran a good race, and I got a personal record. I pushed myself to get placed,” Alcala said
Some of the varsity girls that participated in Conference included Jacque Garza, Cindy Alcala, Kelli Tosic, Caroline Riss, Madison Kubas, Leialani Akalaonu, Gabby Conceicao, and Kylie Stoneham. Varsity placed fourth, while the junior varsity team placed fifth.
“In Conference, I ran 18 minutes 30 seconds (my best time) and took 6th overall out of 47 girls overall,” Tosic said. “The thing I love most about cross country is how close you become with your teammates, creating a strong bond. Cross country pushes you to the limits you don’t think your body has.”
