How I’m thankful for the life I’ve been given

I am one of the luckiest people with the family I’ve been gifted. Despite having divorced parents, I truly believe the family I have and the things have happened, were intended to happen the way they did.  With the holidays coming up, I definitely have a lot to keep in mind when it comes to the topic of thankfulness. My life, although crazy, I’m very lucky to have. The friends, family, school, and activities I’m apart of are certainly a blessing to me. Although I thank all these things, I definitely am grateful for some more than others.

This year, I really got to think about my family and how grateful I am for the experiences I’ve gone through. Although going through certain circumstances such as my surgery, the loss of my Godfather, my parents divorce, and many others, I believe I have been put through these situations for specific reasons. Now, I am religious, so many of my beliefs about my life stem through God, I truly do believe that each and every person is put there challenges that they can overcome in the end, and I am beyond thankful for these opportunities to grow. My family, my friends, even my animals were all gifted to me for a reason, and I believe I have some of the best people in my life. I am 100 percent grateful that all of these people have come into my life.

One person I am beyond grateful for is my best friend. I met McKenna a while ago, but I didn’t become close with her until the end of my Sophomore year of high school. McKenna is by far one of the most kind-hearted and genuine people I’ve met. She has been there for me through everything and I believe I was meant to be her friend the second I met her and I am so thankful for her presence in my life. I really believe my life would be completely different without her in it.
