This is my junior year of high school, and it is definitely my hardest year. I have three AP classes, I don’t have a lunch, I’m on the newspaper, and I’m in theater. I also have gone on many field trips this year, and to top it all off, I got sick and missed three straight days of school. I’ll admit, I’m a little behind with my schoolwork, but I’m still trying to catch up after how long it’s been. Use me as a cautionary tale for the rest of you.This is my junior year of high school, and it is definitely my hardest year. I’ll admit, I’m a little behind with my schoolwork, but I’m still trying to catch up after how long it’s been. Use me as a cautionary tale for the rest of you. First of all, it’s good to know your limits. I knew going into this year that I was I was a bit unsure with how i’d do with these AP classes, but I went for it anyway. I was thinking about colleges and to be honest just trying to look smart. Do not take on more than what you think you can do. If you want to take a challenging course or get a college course out of the way that is fine, but do not take one just for grades. These courses take a lot of work. Only take ones that you are willing to take the time to stay caught up in. Secondly, make sure to have a break, like study hall or a lunch. Don’t overwork yourself. There are a lot of classes you can take that are more creative than academic. Find something that you can get extra work done in or relax yourself with. An art class is nice for taking your mind off of schoolwork for a little while. Finally, make some time outside of school. Don’t use after school activities as an excuse. There is always time to get work done if you really apply yourself to your work. Some activities may even have some opportunities to do homework there.Whatever you do and whatever you’re interested in, there will always be time to get work done before it’s too late. Don’t do what I did and make excuses. Get your work done.
