My first day of freshman year, I
walked into journalism class expecting
creative writing type assignments. I had
no idea that I joined the newspaper and
freaked out a bit. However, over the years,
I have had many amazing opportunities
such as learning interview skills, meeting
staff and overall meeting a great group
of people that I am so lucky I got to share
these past years with.
I am so grateful that I chose to stay in
journalism and to have had a great coeditor
by my side all four years to help me
with the endless technology troubles as
well anything else that needed to get done.
Also my amazing teacher who I have
learned so much as well as shared many
laughs with throughout these four years. I
can gladly say that Grayslake North newspaper
has shaped me into the person I am
today. I’m grateful I was able to be a part
of such an amazing class.
