Cindy Om-Staff Reporter Senior Goodbye

By dressing up for the ABC countdown, I have been experiencing a mix of emotions from pure excitement to fear. The only way I can describe the past four years as is a journey. High school was a fun, challenging journey.

Although I attended Grayslake North for two years, I feel as though my time here has been longer. I have learned so much, and I have met some incredible people here. To name a few, I would like to say a big thank you to a couple of people who have impacted my life in some way: guidance counselor Mrs. Garcia, English teacher Ms. Galluzzi, art teacher Mrs. Bott and journalism teacher Mrs. Smith.

Looking back, I would have to say that Journalism definitely was one of my favorite classes. I had the chance to do what I enjoyed the most. I had the chance to meet new people, communicate with others and write. The class was an open environment, it was one of the classes I looked forward to. Before journalism, I always struggled with my writing. I was lost and confused and I didn’t know what to do, but because of journalism, I can say that I feel more confident in it.

Once again, for me, high school was a fun, challenging journey. I do not know what the future holds, but I am very excited to find out. Goodbye, Grayslake North. Hello,
