When students at Grayslake North took a survey on whether they preferred Starbucks or Dunkin, 42.3% chose Dunkin, while 57.7% of students chose Starbucks. Many said that they liked Starbucks more because “Starbucks can be more reliable and have a better taste,” and, “It’s more professional and high quality.” Students also believed that since Starbucks has more of a choice in their drink menu that it is a better quality option.

While more people like Starbucks better, many loved Dunkin because of its good prices and the fact that they have donuts there. Many also occasionally or often get coffee. Students said they spend about $10.00 to $20.00 every month to buy coffee.

Personally, due to prices and size, I believe Dunkin is the better choice. Along with their amazing pumpkin munchkins that are now in season, they also have great donuts.

Another reason is the fact that they allow you to accumulate points and win free drinks on a free app you can download on your phone. Along with accumulating points Dunkin also gives out “offers” where you can get deals on different products.

I personally prefer Dunkin because of the free drinks with points, and a deal they offer. You can get a $2.00 drink from 2-6 p.m., as long as it is a coffee. My coffee choice is a large French vanilla iced coffee with cream and sugar, and my latte choice is a large caramel craze ice latte with extra caramel and no cinnamon.
