Almost eleven years ago, a three-movie franchise started with the movie “How To Train Your Dragon.” The franchise itself is amazing overall. I give it a 10/10.

In the movie, Jay Baruchel plays the main character, with other celebrities playing other characters. The Viking Village of Berk, located on a remote island, is attacked frequently by Dragons. The chief of this village is called Stovic. The vast majority of villagers fight back the dragons frequently. An awkward fifteen-year-old kid named Hiccup, son of the chief in that village, tries to prove himself worthy to his village and father by attempting to fire a bola at one of the most fierce dragons to ever exist. He hits the dragon and it goes down on the other side of the island, only no one sees this. He actually hits the dragon, though, and sets off on a search party of himself to find the dragon. After he finds the dragon, he sees something in the dragon that no one else sees. Later in the movie, Hiccup proceeds to train the dragon he took down, knowing that all dragons are good-hearted. His father, the chief of the village, finds it hard to accept this.

The movie “How To Train Your Dragon” is rated 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, so you know it is a great movie. After seeing this movie four or five or a hundred times, I can say with confidence that this is one of the best movies out there. Currently, there are two other movies following this film, resulting in a trilogy.
