FBLA advances to State, places second in conference

On Friday, January 17, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) placed second at their Conference. Senior members Rhea Sienes, Nina Neilson, Anjie Rodriguez, and Richard Moung participated in the broadcast journalism competition.

“Our video was about financial literacy and technology,” Rodriguez said. “For State, we plan to edit our video with the feedback we got.”

North’s chapter beat Stevenson, which holds the largest chapter in the Northern Conference; however, they still have goals in mind when they compete.

“State is sometime in April, but we will be preparing for it until then. I’m excited to see how we progress,” Neilson said.

The members are still rejoicing their winning and will remember this experience.

“I’m so proud of our work and honored to be apart of an amazing club,” Neilson said.

FBLA meets every Tuesday after school in the ARC and plans to sell donuts every other Thursday.
