Alexa Polfiet

Every student at North has their own life, their own issues, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and the list could go on Alexa Polfliet is a face in a crowd of many at North, and she reveals that her life is as complex as anyone else’s.
“My life consists of school, work, and a little bit of free time on my days off. Usually when I’m at home, I am getting ready for work or doing homework. It’s rare that I have genuine free time, but when I do, I enjoy it a lot,” Polfliet said.
Alexa has set goals that she is anxious to conquer, which include traveling to many places across the world.
“A goal of mine is to visit every continent at least once. Specifically I would love to visit Iceland and South Africa,” Polfliet said.
She is also going on a trip to Greece, something she has been waiting for excitedly.
“I am looking forward to my trip to Greece that is in May. I have been working to earn money, so when I go, it will be an even more rewarding experience,” said Polfliet.
As for spring and summer vacation plans, Alexa isn’t set on going anywhere besides Greece, but she does want to get things done nonetheless.
“Over spring and summer break, I plan to spend as much time outside as possible. I would like to travel to places I can hike and swim. I would also like to dedicate more time to reading and painting,” Polfliet said.
Alexa holds many things close to her and has set beliefs that she stands for no matter what.
“Many things are important to me, but spending time with my family and friends means a lot. I also believe it is important to spend time alone as well. I also care a lot about social issues and the planet,” Polfliet said.
In the end, Alexa is obviously just another student at North, but that doesn’t mean that what she says and what she does should go unnoticed or uncared for. She dedicates her life to her job at The Vine, and schoolwork, and expectedly goes through things many teens go through.
