As the girls basketball season comes to a close, the coaches and team focus on the upcoming Regional games.
“The season is going pretty well. We have played really well at times this year and are currently 7-4 in conference games,” said head coach Robert Nicoletti.
As the basketball season and senior year slowly starts coming to an end, for some of the girls, they try their best to enjoy it with their team and end the season with a positive note.
“I want to be able to look back at high school and remember an amazing team that I had the best time with; I guarantee I will never forget these players. You can see the bond that each of us have together, no matter what age we are. I’m sad to say my last game is approaching, but I hope to love every second before it’s actually here,” said senior Molly Rutkowski.
Not only do they hear advice from their coach but from each other as well to help them become stronger as a team.
“The advice I would give is to play as a team and always be there for every teammate,” said senior Abbey Guenther.
Sharing the same love for a sport with a sibling has its good times and bad times.
“Being on the team with my sister is fun. At times we have our differences, but we always cheer each other on,” said senior Victavia Taylor.
Coach Nicoletti encourages the girls to always work hard and push themselves.
“My main message to our girls is to work to compete every day, whether that be at practice or a game,” Nicoletti said.
