Teams compete in spring break trips

Three sports team traveled
to various southern locations during spring break for team bonding and good competition.
Both the baseball and softball teams traveled to The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
“The weather was good for team morale, and the competition was great because we got to face teams that were from all over the U.S., and we brought up some younger guys that got some good experience on the trip,” said senior Charlie Burr.
The lacrosse team traveled to North Carolina and got to visit Duke University on their trip and won both of their games while they were there.
“Despite only playing two games in North Carolina, we had a great time and used the trip as a tool to work on our play on the field and build a strong culture together as a team,” said senior Joey McHugh.
The baseball team got to face many teams from all across the country, where they can play year round. They completed the trip with a final record of 4-1. “Playing these teams was a great challenge for us, and we rose to the occasion. We are proud of the way we played in Florida and of the way we have continued to play at that high caliber,” said senior Eric Obenauf.
For many of these athletes, it was their last time traveling as a Knight, and with the success of every team that traveled, it was a fitting way to end.
