Bowler takes part in State competition

Junior Gaby Silva participated in the State competition for girls bowling in the middle of February. Silva has taken many steps to achieve this accomplishment throughout her season.
“I have taken private lessons and took every practice as if it was a tournament,” Silva said.
Silva’s coaches have pushed her to do the best she can and be the best bowler she can be throughout her seasons.
“My goal for Gaby was to perform at a high level, continue to work hard mentally with the hopes that she would make the cut to day two. She missed the cut, but I was so proud of her for her never giving up attitude and her strong mental game,” said coach Laura Bertermann.
Gaby had a great support group who was there cheering her on throughout the competition and season.
“My favorite part about State was just being there with the people who mattered most to me, who supported me and cheered me on from the stands.Knowing I had people at home rooting me on was amazing,” Silva said.
