This year the first performance for band and choir has attracted a huge audience with their stunning jazz music.

At Jazz Night, the band and choir members really showed what talents they have and what they really represent.

Senior Jimmy Devine, a band member, feels that both the audience and the band/choir both make the night as great as it is.

“Both the audience and the band brings the true spirit to the performance. If the audience is bad and the music is good, then the band would feel like they aren’t that good. If the band and the audience is good, then not only will we perform better than what we normally would,” Devine said.

Jazz night helps not only bring the student body together, but the whole community as well just from all the support and the love of music.

“Anyone that comes to Jazz Night enjoys it and gets a newfound respect for the community and seeing how combining our talents is a good thing,” said senior Robert McNeilly

Jazz Night is directed towards many things ranging from the schools, communities, or even the band and choir.

“Jazz Night is actually directed towards anyone who comes and enjoy the music and who ever makes it to the first performance of the band,” Devine said.

Even though Jazz Night is a well orchestrated performance, there is a lot of practice that goes into the process of getting down all the key components of it.

“Auditions are at the end of early October, so the people we have are the best there can be and it takes about two months to practice and rehearse for the part that we have,” said sophomore Connor Bergman.
