Golf cart parade begins weekend of Homecoming

The golf cart parade begins the weekend by getting everyone excited for Homecoming.

The Golf parade had over 20 golf carts decorated by various clubs.

The first place Golf cart was awarded to Environmental Club and Lakers Hockey in second place.

Debate, yearbook, girls tennis, girls volleyball, girls golf, Green room, Art Club, the freshman thru seniors had their own cart per class, also all the Homecoming nominations had carts as well.

“It was fun being in the parade, and decorating the cart, seeing all the other carts decorated was awesome,” said sophomore Ian Doyle.

Many golf carts were very decorated, some others not as much decorations, but were all great in spirit.

A lot of debate came for who got to drive the golf cart in the parade, and for who got to stand on the back of the cart.

“Ryan and I played rock, paper, scissors to see who got to drive,” said, Junior Logan Crenshaw on driving the Junior class golf cart.

“It was fun walking by the side of the golf cart it was very exhilarating going through the parade and hearing the crowd,” said Cade Henegan.

For the sports teams in the parade even if they weren’t on the cart they could walk by the side of the cart with their team.

“I had fun walking with my team around the golf cart it was fun, I enjoyed it,” said junior Erik Nourm.

That was the kick start to the start of Homecoming and the school spirit leading up to Homecoming.
