Bienvenue! French Club invites everyone to join

Every Thursday, the French Club meets up to discuss and enjoy French culture beyond the classroom setting.

“We listen to French music, plan activities, share ideas, and play games,” said sponsor Dorota Trybula.

French Club was created to spread French culture among students and to experience new things.

“We are planning a field trip to the French restaurant in Libertyville, Café  Pyrennées,” Trybula said.

Every club has its own memories and accomplishments. For the French Club, winning first place in window painting last year was one of its success. They also have their favorite events.

“ The golf cart parade is always nice, but my favorite one is always the cooking event. We reserve one of the food rooms for us and Spanish Club, and we cook together. It’s a lot of fun and plenty of good food,” Trybula said.

French Club has around 10 and 17 members and invites everyone interested.

“French Club is open to ALL students who are interested in this beautiful language,” Trybula said.

Most members of French Club are taking French as a second language and enjoy so much they want to learn more.

“You can learn a bit more of the French culture outside of class,” said junior Kimberly Escobar.

French Club does various activities throughout the year.

“My favorite is probably French Week since we had to do many activities and promote it,” said Escobar.

French Club wants people to join them even if they aren’t taking French as as second language, French Club gives students opportunities to learn more.
“I really like French in general, so when I first joined I thought it would be a fun experience for me,” said Escobar
