Girls volleyball finishes strong season

The girls volleyball team looks to finish out the season strong with tough conference competition.
The girls volleyball team has seen improvement from the start of the season to the end. With eight wins, they look to finish out the season strong.
“Our team has improved in many ways, but the one that stands out the most is finishing the match in two sets,” said senior Katie Smith.
The team has progressed over the long season and put up a victorious fight in the crosstown rivalry game.
“Beating Central was definitely the highlight of the season,” said senior Kendall Buchman.
This time was especially a feel good win due to the rivalry over the last few years. “It has been awhile since North has been able to win against them, and I am glad I was able to be a part of that,” Buchman said.
All season the girls have been looking to accomplish goals from the start of the season.
“We wanted to be scrappy and never let any ball touch the floor,” said junior Sidney Lovitsch.
The team worked and grew together over the season becoming a well- rounded team, looking to become better every day.
“We also enforced the three second rule. You take three seconds after a bad play to get over what happened and erase it from your mind and not let it get to you the rest of the match/game,” Lovitsch said.
The team also had more broad goals for the course of the season.
“We wanted to come together as a team and compete to the best of our abilities against every team we played,” said senior Annie Rauch.
