FCA fundraiser supports business of GCHS graduate

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes club is doing a new fundraiser through Driven Coffee.
“We are doing a fundraiser through a coffee business named Driven Coffee. They sell coffee and chocolate through their business,” said sponsor Jeremy Paul.
Driven Coffee is based out of Minnesota but is especially relevant to Grayslake.
“It is cool because the CEO of Driven Coffee actually went to Grayslake High School,” Paul said.
The goal of Driven Coffee is to impact lives of others.
“When I founded Driven Coffee, I had two main goals in mind. The first goal was to roast and deliver really great and unique specialty coffee to the masses. The second goal was to impact the lives of others in a positive way by taking our corporate social responsibility seriously,” said CEO Matt Vassau.
Matt feels strongly about his company and the coffee business. He got interested in coffee from other people in his life.
“Truthfully, it was my wife April. She worked in coffee shops while we were dating, and I immediately fell in love with the industry. It is full of great people who are passionate about their careers,” Vassau said.
Matt Vassau is the CEO of Driven Coffee and attended Grayslake High School.
“When I grew up in Grayslake, I was surrounded by friends and family that worked hard for everything they had. This work ethic was instilled in me at an early age, and it continues to be a big part of my drive to this day,” Vassau said.
Matt Vassau and Driven Coffee keep striving toward their goal everyday of impacting other lives with coffee.
