Girls bowling looks forward to upcoming competition

The girls bowling team is looking forward to the beginning of the 2014-15 season in hopes to start strong.
The team looks to roll on as they have high expectations for the season as they hope to make it to State as a team.
“Our goals this year are to win Conference and make it to State as a team as well as consistently improve throughout the season,” said coach Laura Bertermann said.
The bowling team has not lost much talent going into this season as they have many returning players.
“Sarah Littleton and Kaitlyn Christiansen are top returning bowlers, and Gaby Silva is a new bowler to watch as a freshman,” said Bertermann.
The team has many tough matches this year, but high up on their priorities include the upcoming conference match-ups.
“Jacobs and Dundee-Crown are always tough match-ups every year,” Bertermann said.
Practice makes perfect as the team feels they have become better after every single practice.
“We have team stretching at the start of practice. Then we work on release and timing. After that we work on different angles and situations that could occur. We end practice with individual execution and record stats,” said varsity bowler Sarah Littleton.
