The girls bowling won their third match against Lakes. The varsity and JV teams won 7-9.  They had two normal games and two baker games.

“It was really cool to see everyone and see all the girls bowl. Our team is so supportive, and we all support each other and cheer each other on,” said freshman Victoria Rodell. She is on JV 3.

The girls did amazing. They worked hard and did very well. Many girls bowled 120s and 150s during the game and we all had fun and cheered each other on no matter what anyone got, according to Rodell.

“We crushed it. Varsity got over 900 on our second game, and we can’t wait to go to Feed Your Starving Children and go to Portillos for dinner. It’s something we do every year, and it’s great bonding,” said senior Amelia Wright, a varsity bowler.

One outstanding play was with Dani Broege, one of the seniors who is in her first year doing bowling. She got 167 and a turkey. A turkey is when a bowler gets three strikes in a row, and the team has only been practicing for two weeks.

“From the JV perspective, we did really really well. We took all nine points from our first conference match, and the girls were all so supportive to everyone even if they weren’t on our team,” said Coach Vandermeulen, the coach of JV 1.
