The tennis team has competed in multiple sets of doubles and singles for their games. Junior Isabella Moran has been undefeated since she has started her junior season of tennis.

Bella Moran started playing tennis ages 4-12, and when she got to Grayslake North, the tennis coach knew she played tennis, so she wrote her in so she could be on the team. She says that her father taught her everything she knows today. Bella’s coach, Ashley Kopecky, talks about how she’s talented in multiple areas besides tennis.

“She is uniquely creative, athletic, and thoughtful and 100 percent confident in who she is and what she wants to be,” Kopecky said.

Senior Danielle Broege, a teammate of Bella Moran, talks about how she admires her teammate and how her being on the team makes it better.

“I love Bella´s work ethic and how she’s very humble,” Broege said.

When someone congratulates Bella on a good play, the first thing she does is accept the compliment, but also reminds the person and herself on what she as a player can work on.

“She says, oh I did this good but I could have done this better,” Broege said.

Broege knew of Bella her sophomore year of high school but didn’t actually get to know her until this year. This was because of COVID-19 which prevented them from hanging out and doing things together as a team. Even though Broege knows that Bella’s real passion is soccer, she thinks that Bella could still go D1 for tennis.
