The girls volleyball team plays in a quad.

Three games, two loses, one win, all with different strategies. During the quad game, the team worked with Marlo Anderson , one of the freshman setters. The team still ended up losing, but the girls JV team still did better.

With the three games, the girls volleyball team played a lot better than the team has been. The girls lost twice, but the games were really close. The players worked really hard and did their best to work as a team.

“The two losses that we had, we did very well. They were very close, and some things we need to work on is offense and do more conditioning, ” said Coach Vice, the JV head coach of the girls volleyball team.

The last couple of games the JV team has been losing. The team lost one of their setters about a week or two ago, which isn’t good when the JV team only has two setters, so the team was really happy when they brought up Marlo Anderson.

“Things that we need to improve on is bonding and also talking on the court and making sure to communicate, especially since we pulled up as freshmen,” said Kai Hauser, a sophomore volleyball player.

An outstanding play would be Emily Owen, one of the team’s middle hitters, got three aces while she was serving. It helped the girls out and helped the team win, and an outstanding player would be Brooke Ellingsen , one of the JV girls setters. Brooke had been working really hard being the girls team only setter while the second setter sat out because of a concussion.

“We definitely did better, but we definitely could have done a bit better and we need to talk more,” said Emily Owen, one of the team captains.

There were twelve misses, 10 aces and over 50 servers for all three games.

“The first quad didn’t go well. We were a setter, and our one setter was running her butt off, but definitely this quad did ten times better. Even if we did lose, we did better,” Vice said.
