The girls volleyball team had a great season this year with a record of 11-2

With a record of 11-2, the girls volleyball team had a successful season, which included their first conference championship.

The team began the season with amazing goals, and showed a lot of effort and teamwork in order to achieve them.

“Our goal for this season was to make the most out of every play. Because of COVID, we had no idea what would happen in a matter of hours throughout the season, so we didn’t want to take any practice or any game for granted,” said senior Jessica Pozezinski.

One of the season highlights was their game against Lakes High School.

“Our match against Lakes was epic. It was the first time we had beat them since the start of the new conference. By beating Lakes, we were assured our first conference championship,” said coach Jim Sarver.

This was the first NLCC championship for the girls volleyball team.

“We wanted to be the first girls volleyball conference champions for North because none of the girls volleyball teams have done that before,” Pozezinski said.

“The Knights volleyball team were undefeated conference champs for the first time in school history,” Sarver said.

This season’s accomplishments resulted from everyone working hard.

“The program as a whole had a very good record,” Sarver said.

It was an excellent season, and everyone involved with girls volleyball put in amazing work from the beginning through the end.

The support and energy that this team brought to every game or every practice is something that personally, I will never forget, and will always be grateful for,” Pozezinski said.
