Review: “Eyes Wide Open”
K-pop girl group Twice came out with their new, second full-length album called “Eyes Wide Open”.
I love all the songs in the album and the vibes it gives. The title track ‘I Can’t Stop Me’ is so catchy that I have even learned the dance from the song and I am always dancing to it.
Twice is a K-pop group consisting of nine girl members that debuted back in 2015 under J.Y.P Entertainment. They debuted from being on a survival show called ‘Sixteen’ in which they had to compete to become a K-pop group.
“Eyes Wide Open” contains 13 songs. Members of Twice got to collaborate on the album with other musicians such as English singer/songwriter Dua Lipa, who co-produced ‘Behind The Mask’.
Jihyo, the leader of the group, helped write the lyrics to ‘Up No More’. Nayeon, the center of the group, helped write ‘Depend On You’. Sub-vocalist Sana also helped write the lyrics to ‘Do What We Like’. Dahyun the lead rapper helped write ‘Bring It Back’ and ‘Queen’. Lastly, main rapper Chaeyoung helped write ‘Handle It’.
I love the album. I have it in my Spotify playlist and since it came out I have been listening to it, especially ‘I Can’t Stop Me’.
Seeing how a lot of work was put into making this album, I think it is wonderful and really amazing. I give it a 10 out of 10 and recommend others to listen to it.
