While Christmas is a month away, many people have yet to decide on gifts to give or ask for. There are many popular and creative clothes, shoes, and game systems that just came out. Choosing the right gift may be tough, but there are a lot of people ready to share their opinions on them. 

“Christmas is probably the hardest holiday, requiring a lot of time and dedication, especially when you have big families,” said a local couple, Justin and Jamie Norris.

”Although I’ve just turned 29 years old and am a dad of two, I still need to have fun when I’m bored as well,” Justin said. “The biggest thing on my list is a pricey PS5 game system.” 

When looking for new game systems, it is a good idea to go Black Friday shopping or Cyber Monday shopping to get great deals. For the PlayStation 5 (PS5), controllers and games are sold separately, but games can be downloaded too. The PS5 is a new and improved version of the PS4 game system, which was released in 2013. The reason consumers should choose to give a PS5 as a gift is it is both “fun and time-consuming,” Justin said.  People can watch movies and play games all on one console. The price for a PS5 right now is $500. 

“I want a new Coach purse because becoming a mom made it more difficult to have a little purse,” Jamie said. “I have a friend who has it, and I’m in love with hers, so I just need one. I’m always needing some more space in my bag, and there’s this one purse from Coach I’m just in love with. It’s a little pricier for a handbag than expected, but it’s all going to be worth it. A happy wife is a happy life.”

There are good sales and great deals available on many gifts right now. Due to the coronavirus, people need to take precautions this year. Online shopping comes with extra shipping costs but ensures one’s safety and health for holidays.

Gift exchanges may be easier if one has some idea of what to get. Melissa Ferrell and her boyfriend, Edgar Lopez, said they do not really want anything too big but do want new clothing.

 “I would be fine with a couple of new outfits and maybe a pair of shoes,” Ferrell said.

Other people are really missing their families at this time.

 “I need a couple of work shirts, and the best gift idea for me would be for me to see my mother for the holidays because this would be the first year without her,” Lopez said.
