What is next for Star Wars?
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” was an amazing box office hit, making over $1 billion in the Global Box Office, but final numbers haven’t been released yet from Disney. Disney has announced that there will be a fourth trilogy to the Star Wars saga. “Mirror News” said that Disney will be releasing the start of the trilogy movie in 2020 having one come out every other December. The franchise will end in 2026 for this trilogy. At first, the plan was going to have one come out every year, but they found that they have to rush production. This would affect the movies, and so they decided against it.
For the new movies coming out, they hope to add more characters, planets, and stories to the mix. Even though it is the end of the Skywalker saga, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of Rey, who now goes by Rey Skywalker. Lucasfilm writers have hinted to the fact that they wouldn’t completely abandon old characters. They go into more detail about the plans of characterization at the “Hollywood Reporter.” They talk about what this means for Rey on Tatooine.
