Marching Band competes at University of Illinois Championships
The Grayslake North Marching Knights earned second place at the University of Illinois Championships on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
The band finished their marching season with this competition.
“I think we did pretty good. We could’ve done better if we got to perform on the field,” said freshman Jashvanth Tamil-Nambi.
The band did not get to perform on the field due to the rain.
“I feel that we did good. We could have done better, but it was definitely good,” said sophomore Brandon Price.
The band had a good performance overall. They placed second in their class.
Overall, the band has been placing high in all of their competitions. They placed first place for best music in their first competition at Waukesha High School.
“It was really exciting to hear them call the band that got second place and seeing all the North band members’ faces light up realizing that we had just gotten first place,” said junior Tommy Henning.
