Football ends on a win against Central
With North’s football season coming to a close, the football team makes a comeback with wins against North Chicago, Grant, Wauconda and Round Lake.
The Knights ended the season winning against rival Grayslake Central with a score of 55-14. The team missed the playoff bracket by two points, but had incredible comebacks throughout the season
“We started off pretty slow especially with all the games we had against the harder people, but we’re coming back,” sophomore Patryk Wytrzyszczewski said.
The boys who are involved with North’s football teams would go to practice every day to get ready for all of their games. During practice is a time where everyone would run, stretch, and work on being offense or defense. They would work with their coach and peers hand on hand to play better.
But everyone has the chance to improve, and when asked what they can improve on, Coach Baker replied, “We talk about building our family atmosphere, which we call Knight Vision and continue to get bigger and stronger.”
The Knights have had a couple of losses since the beginning of the season, but they came back toward the end with large wins against Wauconda, which was a win by 21 – 14 and Grant which the ending score was 40 -7. Then on the last game of the 2018 season, the Knights football team faced and beat their biggest rival, Grayslake Central. They won by 55 – 14.
“We create a toughness that is unmatched. I feel like getting closer with Coach Baker has helped not only me but some of the other guys play to their full potential,” Sisson said.
