Football takes the win at the Homecoming game against North Chicago

North’s varsity football team takes the win at the Homecoming game against North Chicago with a score 28 to 19.

The night kicked off with the Homecoming parade where clubs have decorated golf carts to ride around the track of the football field.

“It’s a very fun experience to be with your classmates and represent something you all care about,” said senior Ian Doyle

After the parade, there wasn’t a junior varsity football game before the varsity game. North Chicago didn’t have a junior varsity team for North to play. Because of that, there was a soccer game instead to fill in the time before the varsity game.

After that, the varsity game started and North ended up scoring first. We had a big lead on North Chicago the entire game which helped the team win. There were lots of people there routing for North.

“I think we’ll beat North Chicago because we’ve beaten them a couple times before, so what else is new,” said junior Alonso Pelayo.

During half time the dance teams went on the field and performed a quick dance, then the band played.

The rest of the game went smoothly, as nobody scored any other points giving North the win.
