Organizations donate all year round

Where do these organizations donate necessities?

Clothes are getting packed away, the rest of the food bags were being placed in boxes, and volunteers and staff members were still preparing the rest of the donations to be shipped to countries in need.
At Feed My Starving Children, volunteers and workers work together to help people from starvation in a variety of countries around the world.
“At Feed My Starving Children, we ask volunteers to join us in hand-packing bags of food for starving people around the world, such as in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North, South, and Central America. We like to encourage volunteers to go by our motto: ‘We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed’,” said Aurora site manager Christine Varsbergs.
Volunteers at FMSC volunteer for the sake of just wanting to help support the community.
“I wanted to volunteer here to contribute my part in making a positive impact on the issues we have going on in the world. It is such an amazing feeling knowing that I am doing something to help those who really need it,” said sophomore Bethany Cardenas.
At PADS, a volunteer is permitted to attend the shelter site in Lake County beginning from October 1 to April 30.
“To become a volunteer, you can sign up online or visit your local PADS shelter site. Once you are registered as a volunteer, there are many different ways to help out. For instance, most volunteers help by making meals for the people in the shelter, or they simply donate necessity items,” said Community Partnership manager Christen White.
Volunteers at PADS Lake County have a goal to achieve in regards to helping those in need of health and living support.
“Our mission here at PADS is to give support to the homeless community who have suffered either from trauma or simply just in need of shelter and nourishing health care. We provide a safe and stable community for children, as well as adults,” White said.
