The Senior Student Council planned the 2016 WinterFest that occurred on February 27.
“Since we had Boom Entertainment come out to DJ, they call these dances the Winter Fest. The winter dance has never and will never be called TWIRP,” said senior Merissa Slowik.
Since the Senior Class is in charge of planning the dance, they planned different activities and entertainment for the night.
“We just had a normal DJ, and I asked the P.E department if we could set up bags in case some of the kids wanted to do something different,” said Senior Student Council Sponsor Stacy Selle.
Student Council planned this dance to be open to everyone willing to have fun with their friends.
“We have this dance for the students to get a group of friends and/or dates and come dance to have fun! We appreciate everyone who went to the dance and was glad to see many pictures of students having fun,” Slowik said.
Although the dance is planned by seniors, plenty of lowerclassmen attend the dance.
“I will definitely go again. My favorite part of the night was everyone making a circle and people danced in it,” said freshman Austin Martineau.
