
The Grayslake North Girls varsity basketball team has been making waves this season with tough-fought games while showcasing teamwork and determination on the court This season, the team has stayed resilient. With experienced upperclassmen and talented underclassmen the team aims tore main consistent and deliver strong performances. Girls Basketball has gone through an intense roller coaster of a season where they’ve played against tough competitors and have had their fair share of wins and losses.
Eric Favors, a frequent visitor and fan of the sport has said, “Their season has been okay, you can see they’ve been working hard and the team has great potential.”
Recently, they have been working hard and it’s been paying off, as the girls’ varsity basketball team’s wins have been racking up. Their most recent wins were against Lakes, Grant, and North Chicago, three of our conference teams. The team’s record is 7-18 and their 5th in the NLCC. While beating Grant And Lakes Community High School on their senior night. It’s the second year in a row that the Girls beat Lakes on their senior night. Junior Jane Pritchard racked up the assists by helping, Junior Lucy Roscoe, and Sophomore Ashlyn Stoneham become successful by leading in points Stoneham also is leading the most rebounds alongside“ The season is going decent so far. It felt pretty good to beat Grant and Lakes on their senior night, especially after coming out of a losing streak and it also felt good especially because those are big games for other schools.,” junior guard Jane Pritchard said. The girls bounced back from the start of their season and are preparing for playoffs. We can’t wait to see how the girls finish the rest of the season, especially with regionals coming up!
