Summer plans include traveling, work
As the school year ends and summer begins, all Knights settle in to have a fantastic break. Some people travel, some stay, and some work, but everyone loves to relax.
Even though the school year is coming to a close, it doesn’t mean it’s over yet. Most students still have things they are looking forward to such as prom or athletics.
“I’m looking forward to the rest of the lacrosse season and just playing with my fellow seniors,” said senior Owen Silverman.
While athletics and other things keep people excited for the end of the year, many students are just ready for the end.
“I’m just excited for the end of school, not anything before it,” said senior Ryan Hunt.
Since school is coming to an end, the happiness of summer is shining through. Many students have exciting activities lined up all summer keeping them involved and active.
“I really enjoy boating, and the summer allows me to do it more,” said senior Maddux Carr.
While many people spend time relaxing and speeding on their boats, most students are on the grind working all summer. The summer gives more time to save up for the dreadful student loans.
“This summer me and Owen Silverman are working at Bella’s Bouncies,” Carr said.
Work is a topic not many like to think about, but it has to be done. Some students just tend to want to get away from the area all together and travel somewhere nice.
“This summer I’m going on a trip to Florida,” Silverman said.
This summer is a memory waiting to happen, but what about all the past summers? Ryan shares his favorite memory of his childhood and his past summers.
“My favorite summer memory is definitely going to the Grayslake pool with my friends,” Hunt said.
