“I’m just excited to see everybody come out again. So a lot of new girls that have never played the sport before are still learning the sport. Even some of them are more experienced. So I’m just kind of helping develop them and just kind of see their love for their game grow, every single year,” said Coach Frericks.
As for baseball, freshman player, Wilson, shares his goal and team goal of wanting to win more. He also shares why more boys should join the team and experience that feeling he gets when he is on the field.
“It’s a fun game. Some people say it’s boring, but it’s only boring if you think it’s boring. I like the excitement and thrill it brings when I’m on the field,” Wilson said.
Eliana Armata, head coach of girls track and field team, shares how she is excited for this season, and she is excited to see new girls tryout the sport. She also shares her goal for the team this season and feels she can accomplish.
“Our goal for this year is to be in the top three again, but I think that what we really want to do is get first or second place. Lakes and Central always have really good teams, and we’re ready to get our eyes on the ground and make sure that we’re showing why we should be in the top,” Armata said.
