This is Wilmot’s broadway at night.

Wilmot Mountain is a popular ski resort located in Wisconsin, just a short drive from the Illinois border. It has been a beloved winter destination for families and snow enthusiasts since its opening in 1938.

Wilmot Mountain offers a variety of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels to enjoy. From gentle beginner slopes to challenging black diamond runs, there is something for everyone. With 23 runs, everyone has a favorite.

“My favorite run is the runs within the terrain park because they challenge me to be better,” said employee Jack Calhoun.

In addition to providing a range of runs for skiers and snowboarders, Wilmot Mountain has also been the backdrop for countless memories and experiences for visitors over the years. Whether it’s a family’s first time on the slopes or a group of friends hitting the runs together, the mountain has a way of bringing people together and creating unforgettable moments.

“I really enjoyed teaching my friend Geo his first time. It left me with a good memory,” said employee Brendon Harrison.

Wilmot Mountain would be nothing without its off-mountain operations. The food and rentals really ensure any guest has a great time on the mountain.

“The food in the restaurant is really good, especially the burgers,” said junior Marlee Jaramillo.

In addition to a selection of dining options serving up hearty meals and warm beverages, the rental shop is a key component of the resort’s offerings. The rental shop provides guests with access to high-quality ski and snowboard equipment from top brands, as well as helmets, poles, and lockers for storing personal belongings while on the slopes.

“As someone who used to rent a lot, the rental department is very good. The employees are nice and so are the skis” Jaramillo said.

Wilmot Mountain would be nothing without its guests and employees. Many people think it’s the best resort in the area beating out Alpine Valley. Nevertheless, Wilmot guests are always welcome.

“People should go to Wilmot because skiing is fun, and there’s very few places to get the same experience you would at Wilmot,” Calhoun said.

While Wilmot is based around the guests’ happiness, the employees are the machine that keeps it together. Wilmot has many great employees who help the wonderful guests who come.

“Working at Wilmot is great because of the polite coworkers and the free ski pass. I love it,” Harrison said.
