The cafeteria cookie is a constant in my life. For $1.00, it’s more than worth it. The soft center and crisp outside along with the perfect chocolate chip to cookie ratio creates the perfect experience.

There is no wonder why almost every student raves about the cookie – it’s a school staple. When my sister visits from San Francisco, her only wish is that I buy her a cookie from the cafeteria. The size of the cookie varies, but for a singular dollar, the size never disappoints. The rare negative of the cafeteria cookie is that sometimes it’s overcooked. The soft center becomes tough and the outside becomes hard. Other times the cookie is undercooked, but I don’t think anyone minds the occasional cookie dough. But when the cookie is baked perfectly as it normally is, I’m never disappointed.

When I bite into a cafeteria cookie I taste the sweetness and become nostalgic. The cafeteria cookie is undeniably amazing, and I will always cherish it. 10/10
