North competes against Mundelein during Senior Night
Grayslake North faced off against Mundelein on Friday during North’s senior night.
“It was great to see our seniors this year being honored, especially after the year they might’ve had,” said junior Roxy Rondon.
The game started off with an announcement of all the senior athletes playing during this season. They were announced and escorted by their familes, as they were lined across the football field.
The game started off steady with no point gain from either team until around the 15 minute mark of the first quarter.
“I was getting nervous at first. I thought we were going to keep a tied or close game until the end. I really wanted us to win this game,” said junior Emily Janofski.
The halftime of this game consisted of North’s dance team and the band/color guard. The color guard brought out a wild backdrop and really changed things up from last year.
“They were so talented. I’ve never seen a high school halftime show like this before. I was really impressed,” said freshman Zuri Ongalo.
The superfan section was up and cheering for almost all of the game. They were standing and cheering for almost every point.
North and Mundelein had a similar score until the end of the second quarter and the beginning of the third quarter.
