“Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness” is an upcoming movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff. This movie will release on May 6 and was rumored to be the first Marvel movie to reach three hours long.

This will be Doctor Strange’s second solo film and will consist of many important events that will most likely shift the tone of this storyline. It’s based on the inner workings of magic and time and how that affects the existence of the multiverse. There have been rumors of Tom Hiddleston’s character Loki Laufeyson, Thor’s brother and the God of Mischief, being in this film. Fans assume if Loki is involved in the movie the TVA or the Time Variance Authority will be involved as well since it’s their job to protect the timeline. There have been some connections to Wanda in Loki’s show from the last year that show her as a threat to the timeline which made fans believe for the second time Wanda would be the antagonist of this new movie. It was later confirmed that Wanda would not be a villain in this movie and would be on the side of good.

As seen in the end credits of “Spider-man: No way Home,” Doctor Strange goes to Wanda and asks for her help, like the episode “What if?”. When Doctor Strange battles an evil version of himself from another timeline, a second Doctor Strange is seen in the clip. This movie will lay the groundwork for hopefully a third movie that will most likely include an important character’s death. Look out for tickets in May.
