Review: “Ginny & Georgia”
“Ginny & Georgia” is a TV show on Netflix about a teenage girl and her family. She has a mother and a younger brother, and they all live together. They’re moving towns at the beginning of episode one. This isn’t their first time moving towns, but they’re hoping it will be their last.
Ginny is the main character and the daughter of Georgia. Ginny’s younger brother’s name is Austin. Zion is the name of Ginny’s dad, however he is not in her life a lot. He travels and only stops in every now and then. Zion is not Austin’s biological father but does act as a father figure to him.
The show has many aspects to it, but my favorite part is the will they or won’t they dynamic between Ginny’s new neighbor, and Marcus, the brother of her new best friend.
Marcus is someone who you love and hate, but at the end of the day, he shows you why you can’t just hate him. He’s had a hard life and does things because he tries to build a wall around his heart. When he’s with Ginny, he’s vulnerable and heartfelt, and she gets to see a side of him no one else gets to see.
Their relationship is secret and messy, but it’s heartfelt and important. There are some parts in the show that may be hard to watch or talk about, but they are important to the characters’ story and growth.
I love this show and can’t wait for the next season to come out. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, and I
don’t know what’s in the future for Marcus and Ginny or Ginny and her family.
With many shows, I feel like you can sense a plot, but this show is very unpredictable. You learn things about characters you didn’t think about. The characters’ lives have twists and turns and heartfelt moments.
I can’t wait to watch Season 2. I’m excited to discover more about how their lives are going to turn out, since they left the end of Season 1 open for anything to happen. Season 2 is said to come out in mid to late 2022, a year after Season 1. I have rewatched this show many times, and it never gets old. I am going to keep waiting patiently and hope that I am not disappointed.
