The Knights Cafe opened for business after being closed a little over a year. The cafe is open during the lunch hours.

The Knights Cafe is open every day in the cafeteria during 3rd and 7th blocks.

It has been open since 2016, selling drinks from iced coffees to hot chocolates.

“The Knights Cafe was created to help the baristas develop authentic work skills and to help our students develop work skills in a fun, real-life setting, and to caffeinate the students and staff of GNHS,” said Kelly Benton, life skills teacher.

In order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, workers in the Knights Cafe wear gloves while making the drinks, and limit how many workers can be in the cafe at once.

Benton has been working at the Knights Cafe for five years now. Her favorite drink is hot chocolate, and it’s also her favorite to make because “it smells so good with whip cream on top.”

The most challenging part about working in the Knights Cafe is keeping the delicious iced coffee in stock.
